Learn the basics of letterpress printing in this half-day, hands-on workshop! Join us for an afternoon of inky exploration in the Uxbridge Historical Centre Print Shop: practise setting vintage metal & wood type by hand, learn how to ink up the text with a brayer, then use a table-top proof press to print a small letterpress poster. At the end of the day you’ll take home new knowledge about the tools, terminology & history of letterpress printing, as well as several hand-printed copies of our collaborative print.

**In the morning, you’re invited to also attend a FREE introduction to the history & printing equipment in the Print Shop - inherited from the local Uxbridge Times Journal newspaper. Enjoy your lunch on the Museum grounds afterwards, or arrive just in time for the afternoon workshop.
